‘India will win the series, they will win it 4-0 or 5-0’ – Sourav Ganguly makes bombshell prediction for India vs England Test series

Former India cricketer Sourav Ganguly has recently revealed his predictions for the ongoing India vs. England Test series, which commenced on January 25. Notably, England had posted 246 runs before getting all out; however, Team India took a massive lead of 190 runs. Meanwhile, England are looking in a dominant position, as they scored 400 runs in the second inning on session 1 of Day 4.

However, Sourav Ganguly feels Rohit Sharma and Co. will easily win the series by 4-0 or 5-0. The former India skipper feels one cannot win against hosts despite taking the lead of 230 or 240 runs, as beating India is tough on their home soil. In addition, the former batting legend stated that it is a very tough series for the England side, and they need to do something spectacular to beat India.

“India will win the series, the matter is whether they will win it 4-0 or 5-0. Every Test will be decisive. England could have won this Test match had they batted well. One cannot win against India by making 230 or 240 runs on Indian soil. Had they made 350 or 400, they could have beaten India, but they weren’t able to do that. It is a tough series for England. Any team other than the Australia of that era could not create any impact here,” Sourav Ganguly said.

India have a good chance in the T20 World Cup 2024: Sourav Ganguly

The former Indian Cricket Board President feels Team India has a good chance in the T20 World Cup 2024. Notably, the Men in Blue have performed extremely well in the ODI World Cup 2023; however, they suffered a defeat in the final game against Australia.

“India have a good chance in the T20 World Cup. Recently, India played in the World Cup final, and it was miserable that they lost against Australia. I didn’t expect that after playing in a very good manner throughout the tournament they will lose, but it happens in sports. There will be another opportunity for India as the conditions in the West Indies and America,” he added further.
