‘It will be hard for Pakistan to come back….’ – Sourav Ganguly’s sharp attack on Pakistan team after loss over India in ODI World Cup 2023

The Pakistan team will be locking horns against five-time world champions Australia on October 20 for their fourth clash of the ODI World Cup 2023. Notably, Babar Azam and Co. currently have two wins out of three games and place themselves in the fourth spot in the points table. The Men in Green get a great win against the Netherlands in their opening game, whereas they get a historic win against Sri Lanka in their next clash.

Notably, the Babar Azam-led Pakistan side lost their recent games against hosts India on October 14 at the iconic Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium. Following the loss, former India cricketer Sourav Ganguly lashed out at the Pakistan team and launched a blunt and sharp attack on the current Pakistan team.

The legendary cricketer feels that the Pakistan team at their time was totally different as compared to this time. In addition, the former Indian Cricket Board President said that the current Pakistani team failed with its batting during the clash against the Men in Blue. Moreover, the 51-year-old legend says that it will be hard for Babar Azam and Co. to bounce back from the loss owing to their frail batting department.

It will be hard for Pakistan to come back in this World Cup with this batting: Sourav Ganguly

“During our time Pakistan was a different team, this is not the type of Pakistan team we used to play. This team can’t handle the pressure during the batting. It will be hard for Pakistan to come back in this World Cup with this batting,” Sourav Ganguly said.

Meanwhile, the well-renowed cricket commentator heaps praise on India’s skipper Rohit Sharma thanks to his sublime knock against Pakistan bowlers, which helped them chase down the target. The cricket analyst feels Rohit Sharma and Co. are doing well and firing in the event with all the departments, including batting, fielding, and bowling.

“Rohit played superbly against Pakistan. India’s every department is doing well. Batting, bowling and fielding is firing together and at the right time,” he added further.
