ODI World Cup 2023: Weather update from Mumbai ahead of India vs Sri Lanka clash
Team India is all set to lock horns against Sri Lanka for their seventh game of the ODI World Cup 2023, slated to take place on November 2 at the iconic Wankhede Cricket Stadium in Mumbai. Notably, Rohit Sharma and Co. will book their spot in the semi-final if they defeat Kusal Mendis-led Sri Lanka on Thursday.
The Men in Blue are the only team who are unbeaten in the tournament as they have thrashed Australia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, New Zealand, Bangladesh, and England in their games so far, but Sri Lanka’s chances of reaching the playoffs are not looking ideal as they have only two wins out of the six games they have placed so far and place themselves at the number seven spot.
Meanwhile, the two teams last met at Wankhede during the 2011 ODI World Cup, where the MS Dhoni-led side registered a big win to win their title. However, the two current teams also faced off in the Asia Cup 2023. Rohit Sharma and Co. beat Sri Lanka by a narrow margin during the Super Four Asia Cup 2023; however, they completely dominated the Dasun Shanaka-led side in the final game, which helped India win their eighth title of the Continental Cup.
The weather conditions for the ODI World Cup 2023 clash between India and Sri Lanka
