‘This is what happens’ – Sachin Tendulkar’s epic reply to football-inspired athletic fielding effort in a local match

Former India opener Sachin Tendulkar recently replied to a video from a local match that has gone viral on social media. The player stopped a six by jumping and attempting to toss the ball into the field while fielding at the boundary line. But the ball went off course and crossed the line. However, the fielder kicked the ball inside the boundary line using his football skills, and his teammate eventually grabbed it.

Sachin Tendulkar reacted to the video on Twitter and replied to the video. “This is what happens when you bring a guy who also knows how to play football!!”, tweeted the master blaster from his official account.

The 2011 World Cup winner played a crucial role in the Indian cricket team’s success throughout his lengthy and distinguished career. For more than two decades, he was a reliable performer and the center attraction in the Indian batting order.

The groundsman was not happy with what we were planning: Laxman Sivaramakrishnan

With 15,921 and 18,426 runs, respectively in ODIs and Tests, Tendulkar leads the run-scorers list in cricket. He remains active in cricket as a mentor of Mumbai in the Indian T20 League since his retirement from international cricket in 2013.

While talking to Times of India, former Indian spinner Laxman Sivaramakrishnan recently shared an intriguing incident about Sachin’s batting practice sessions prior to the home Test series against Australia in 1998.

Laxman revealed that the 49-year-old attempted to generate the rough with his shoe spikes and continually worked on it in order to prepare for facing Shane Warne in Test matches.

“Sachin had bought new shoes with sharp spikes. He scratched the surface very hard and created the rough. The groundsman was not happy with what we were planning. So, we decided we will use just one pitch for the week-long session. By the third or fourth day, the pitch became very tough to bat on,” said Sivaramakrishnan.
