India’s captain, Uday Saharan, has recently opened up about his plans ahead of the U-19 World Cup 2024 final game against Australia, which is slated to take place on February 11. Notably, Team India has reached the finals after beating South Africa in the semi-final clash, owing to the magnificent batting performance from Uday Saharan, who is also the leading run-scorer in the tournament and has played a pivotal role in guiding India towards the final game.
However, in an interview, Uday Saharan recently said that he does not like comparisons and that he always thinks about giving his best in any situation. The 19-year-old cricketer also spoke about how his father has played an important role in his journey, which made him a good finisher.
‘I never think about it. I don’t think about the past. I just think about how I can give my best for the team and how to get the best out of the team. My father has taught me to play it as long as possible. I chose to be the finisher and I will try to fulfil the responsibility till the end, to take the team to victory. It is important to keep the mind working,” Uday Saharan told PTI in an interview.

Moreover, the Rajasthan-born cricketer also opened up about how he drew inspiration from India’s opening batter, Shubman Gill.
“Virat Kohli is my favourite because his passion and aggression is amazing. His love for the game, enthusiasm and desire to win inspires me.
