WATCH: Virat Kohli vibes to ‘Ram Siya Ram’ song with folded hands and great gesture in 2nd Test vs SA

India’s star cricketer Virat Kohli danced to the tune “Ram Siya Ram” during the first session of Day 1 of the second Test against South Africa at the Newlands Cricket Stadium in Cape Town on January 3. Notably, the 35-year-old cricketer worshipped Lord Rama on the field in Cape Town by folding his hands and performing an archery gesture during the first innings of the second Test game.

Meanwhile, as per the Ramayana story, Lord Rama used a bow and arrow to defeat Ravana, symbolizing the victory of good over evil in Hindu mythology. However, CSA plays the song Ram Siya Ram when South African star cricketer Keshav Maharaj, who is of Hindu origin, comes on for the batting.

Coming to Kohli here, India’s star cricketer Virat Kohli was the top scorer for Team India in the first Test match, where he went on to score 38 and 76 runs in the first and second innings, respectively. However, the visiting side failed to win the first Test game in Centurion. However, the star cricketer still places himself in the top 10 position in the recent Test rankings.

Team India bundled out South Africa for just 55 runs in the second Test game in Cape Town

Speaking about the ongoing game, it was South African skipper Dean Elgar who won the toss and invited Team India to field first. However, after opting to bat first, the hosts could only manage to get 55 runs before being bowled out during the play. Notably, Mohammed Siraj scalped six wickets, while Mukesh Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets to put Team India in the commanding position.
