India’s star cricketer, Rinku Singh, has had a remarkable journey from facing challenges during his childhood to emerging as one of India’s brightest talents. Notably, it seems that the 26-year-old is likely to secure a spot in India’s T20 World Cup 2024 squad who gained recognition as the Kolkata Knight Riders top run scorer in the 2023 IPL with 474 runs in 14 matches.

However, Rinku Singh’s heroic innings, including five sixes in the last over against Gujarat Titans bowler Yash Dayal, became a turning point in his cricketing journey. It’s true that, from helping his father deliver LPG cylinders to grabbing attention with consistent performances in domestic cricket, Rinku Singh’s rise has been marked by determination and resilience. The middle-class batter’s inspiring success story traces back to his humble beginnings in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.

Meanwhile, despite Rinku Singh’s early success, his father, who reportedly continues his job as an LPG cylinder delivery person, showcases the family’s grounded values once again. I told my father to relax now as we have enough for him not to haul cylinders: Rinku Singh

Meanwhile, just a few days ago, Rinku Singh revealed that his father loves doing this job. In addition, the 26-year-old cricketer says that his father gets bored sitting at home, and that is the reason he continues doing his job with the same commitment and hard work despite his son’s stardom.

“I told my father to relax now as we have enough for him not to haul cylinders, but he still does it and loves his job. I understand his part also because he will get bored if he sits at home. If someone has worked all his life, it is difficult to tell him to stop unless he wants it.”
