Mumbai Indians (MI) possess two intriguing options at their disposal in Tilak Varma as well as Arjun Tendulkar. Tilak and Arjun contributed to MI’s victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Tuesday, which they did by a score of 14 runs. While Tilak (37 off 17 balls) spearheaded the Mumbai Indians’ assault in the middle overs with a magnificent cameo, Arjun bowled a superb final over to preserve 20 runs while also claiming his first IPL wicket. Tilak and Arjun engaged in a stimulating discourse during their journey in preparation for their upcoming game against the Punjab Kings.

Mumbai Indians, is a very popular franchise and have millions of followers on their social media handles. In a video posted by the franchise, the two bright prospects talking about their previous match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. 

Tilak questioned the Mumbai bowler by saying that, “You’re the yorker king in our team, so how was the pressure in the last over while they were chasing 20 runs?” Arjun Tendulkar, son of the batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar responded by saying that, “Not much pressure because obviously 20 runs we should defend. I had practised so much and I was confident.”

With SRH requiring 20 runs to win after the first two overs, MI Rohit Sharma, the captain, handed Arjun a chance in the final over.Arjun bowled a few yorkers, caught Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and helped his team win the game by 14 runs. Arjun’s performance against SRH was praised by Rohit, who said that the medium pacer bowls with clarity of mind. 

What did Rohit Sharma say about Arjun Tendulkar’ display against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday?

Rohit Sharma in the post match presentation lauded Arjun’s temperament and clarity. He said, “It’s quite exciting to play with Arjun. Life has come a full circle. Arjun has been a part of this team for three years. He understands what he wants to do. He is quite confident as well. He is clear in his plans. He is trying to swing the new ball and bowl yorkers at the death.”
