Watch: MS Dhoni having fun with South actor Yogi Babu during his film’s trailer launch

Former Indian Cricketer MS Dhoni along with his wife Sakshi make their mark in Kollywood with the launch of their production company Dhoni Entertainment’s first film, Let’s Get Married. The couple went to Chennai a few days ago for the audio and trailer launch of the upcoming film that took place on July 10th. During the cake-cutting ceremony at the launch event, Dhoni was seen having fun moments with the famous South actor Yogi Babu.

In an unseen video, as the duo cut the cake, Dhoni quickly grabbed a piece and gobbled it as Yogi Babu looked at him in disappointment. After Dhoni grabbed the piece, Yogi Babu was waiting for him to feed it. After that, they both burst into laughter and the Dhoni fed him a piece.

During the event, Yogi Babu also jokingly asked Dhoni to hire him for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for the next season in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Dhoni also replied that he may have a place in the team as Ambati Rayadu is retired. He said, “[Ambati] Rayudu is retired. So, we do have a place for you in CSK. I’ll speak to the management. But, you are so busy in films. I’ll tell you, you have to play consistently. They bowl very fast and they bowl to injure you only.”

Talking about the upcoming movie, Let’s Get Married is a family entertainer starring Harish Kalyan and Ivana playing in lead roles. While Nadhiya plays the role of a mother, Yogi Babu and Mirchi Vijay will be seen in supporting roles. Ramesh Thamilmani will direct the film, apart from composing the music.

This is director Ramesh Thamilmani’s debut film and he seemed to be thrilled to be associated with Dhoni. He tweeted the common poster regarding the film’s announcement on January 26. The production itself made an announcement about foraying into film production back in October 2022. However, the movie is taking off only now, three months after that big announcement.
