The Pakistan Cricket Team has arrived in the host country, India, for the ODI World Cup 2023 on September 25. Notably, Babar Azam and Co. received a wonderful reception at the Hyderabad airport. This great gesture has made the Men in Green pleased, which makes them push to comment about the same on their social media accounts.
Following the same, a plethora of fans and experts expressed happiness at such a warm welcome to them. Meanwhile, Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Zaka Ashraf has made some shocking remarks about host country India that has sparked outrage among both Indian and Pakistani fans on social media.

India should support them so that they can perform well: Zaka Ashraf
The 71-year-old says that Babar Azam and Co. should always have high morale when they go to an enemy country for tournaments. In addition, he further says that the Men in Green should get support so that they can play and focus on the game during the ODI World Cup 2023. Notably, his remarks have been widely interpreted as targeting India.
“Players hain inka morale upar rehna chahiye jab ye kisi dushman mulk ya kisi bhi jagah khelne jaayen jahan wo competition ho raha ho, to they should go with the full support of the nation aur unko ek achche tarike se perform kar saken.” [When the players go to an enemy country or where the competition is being held, you should support them so that they can perform well], Zaka Ashraf said in the video.
Meanwhile, the Indian Cricket Board had denied travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023 due to the geo-political tensions between both nations. Following the same, former PCB chairman Najam Sethi also decided not to send their side to India for the ODI World Cup. However, the foreign ministry of Pakistan has agreed to send Babar Azam and Co. to India for the ODI World Cup 2023.
Watch out here:
Actually, the PCB paid our players and they deserved all of it. Players hain toh PCB hay and it's not vice versa! Sab se pehle players stakeholders hain ❤️
