‘Yeh rishta kya kehlata hai’ – Fans confused as Dhanashree Verma is seen with Shreyas Iyer in Shardul Thakur’s Sangeet ceremony

Star India bowler Shardul Thakur is all set to tie the knot with Mittali Parulkar. The wedding is scheduled to take place on Monday, February 27. The hashtag that is trending for his marriage is #BringMiHomeThakur. Traditional functions like Sangeet, Haldi, and a modern-themed Pool Party have taken place and the photos and videos have gone viral on social media in no time.

Men in Blue skipper, Rohit Sharma, and the Kolkata franchise captain Shreyas Iyer are the two players from the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy who were seen on Shardul’s wedding rituals. Yuzvendra Chahal’s wife and social media influencer Dhanaskshree Verma, Kolkata franchise management member Abhishek Nayar, and Ranji Trophy star for Mumbai, Siddhesh Lad, were among others present at the ceremony, except the two skippers.

Shardul Thakur to be seen in Australia ODI series

Shardul Thakur is set to make his return to the national team in the upcoming ODI series against Australia in March. After the completion of the BGT 2023, India will lock horns with the Kangaroos in a three-match ODI series that will be played in Mumbai, Visakhapatnam, and Chennai on March 1, March 19, and March 22, respectively. The seamer was last seen in the ODI series against New Zealand earlier this year.

Former India opener, Wasim Jaffer praised the 31-year-old for his match-winning contributions. The former batter claimed that he is currently India’s top bowling all-arounder in ODI cricket. “At present, I feel he is the guy because Deepak Chahar is not playing any cricket. We don’t know his fitness level. But when he comes back into form, he is probably one of those contenders as well. He can bowl with the new ball and bat at No. 8. Thakur is probably the No. 1 choice and then there is Deepak Chahar,” Jaffer was quoted as saying on ESPNcricinfo.

As the ODI World Cup is around the corner, the Kolkata franchise speedster will be looking to continue his recent form and secure his place in the starting XI. The Mumbai-born cricketer will need to prove himself quickly, as India has a large number of talented seamers in limited-overs cricket.
