‘You sign up for injuries…..’ – India pacer Prasidh Krishna exposes harsh reality of fast bowlers

Team India will be locking horns with Ireland for the three-match T20I series in Dublin, commencing on August 18. Notably, the Team will be led by star pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who is all set to make his return to the field along with Prasidh Krishna. The two are currently completing the recovery phases of their respective injuries.

Notably, the pace ace Prasidh Krishna hasn’t appeared since the Zimbabwe tour in 2022 owing to some back injuries, which sidelined him out of considerable cricketing action. Meanwhile, speaking on the same subject, Krishna feels that injuries are part of the game.

There’s so much happening and you’re sitting at home not really being available for selection: Prasidh Krishna

In addition, the Karnataka-born cricketer affirms that fast bowlers sign up for injuries as well as hard work and long days. Moreover, the 27-year-old bowler also shared that he has a positive attitude despite the injuries he sustained last year.

“I’m not someone who gets excited or nervous about anything. I take it in a balanced way. As fast bowlers, you sign up for injuries, you sign up for hard-working days, you sign up for long days… all that is a part of our game. I mean, it’s not easy when everybody is playing a lot of cricket. There’s so much happening and you’re sitting at home not really being available for selection, but I was optimistic,” Krishna told ESPNCricinfo.

Furthermore, the right-arm pacer also revealed that he had changed his vision during the injury period. In addition, the pacer further said that he had enjoyed his training as well as the time off he had with his family.

“Once the surgery was done, I was prepared that it’s going to take time. I changed the way I looked at things. I took it one day at a time. I was enjoying my training, I had a good time with my family. Great things happened. I was very optimistic and positive,” he added further.
